I also reproduce your issue with Ibus on Debian Jessie.
This is caused by YaCy automatic text selection on search field receiving focus (on the HTML input element : onFocus="this.select()").
Personally I am not especially attached to this feature, and I would say that if it is annoying for some users and doesn't bring that much benefits to the majority it should be removed.
But it appears to have been here for some years, so I would prefer confirmation of other YaCy users/developers before committing any change.
|I would consider too that this occurs with any non-latin languge mixed in with English based search terms thus aggravating any user not using an English font. Think China Korea Japan. That could slow implemention among speakers of those languages. In other words non-users might not become users.|

After further analysis and testing, I think it is likely rather a Firefox/ibus issue. On Debian Jessie with ibus-hangul 1.5.0-1 I see :
- no problem with Konqueror 4.14.2 (WebKit or KHTML view modes) and Chromium 57.0.2987.98
- issue reproduced with Firefox ESR 45.9.0
The problem with Firefox, is that when changing input method with IBus-Hangul, it triggers on Firefox a blur and focus event on the browser window. It is not the case with the other tested browsers. You can check with the attached test HTML page (open it with your browser console enabled - 'F12' key shortcut - to see eventual events traces when changing input method on the search field).
Would you like to open an issue on ibus?
