|Product Version||YaCy 1.6|
|Target Version||Fixed in Version|
|Summary||0000377: Remote access to proxy is prohibited not depending on filter (error 403)|
|Description||I would like to set up remote access to the YaCy search form outer network. In order to do this, I set ip-number filter in proxy access settings to be .*|
However, when I try to open http://<my [^] ip>:8090 i get the 403 error.
Setting YaCy as a proxy do not work either.
Ip number filter in server access settings is set to it's default value *

This is not to reproduce.
YaCy is by Default Setup to allow Access of the search form.
- you don't Need to alter the Proxy Settings for this
- the .* would work, but correct is only the * (star char)
If you want to Access the admin Interface from outside, you only Need to be able to Login as Admin (you can set a admin Password here http://localhost:8090/ConfigAccounts_p.html [^])
You may provide the public IP and I'll give it a try from here.

Well, I haven't changed the server access settings which remains '*'. Proxy access settings do not really affect the behavior.
Then I added an entry for external subnet I wish to use
Then just left it as
Not depending on the actual setting, server complains "403 proxy use not allowed".
You may freely try for yourself here: http://dk.llst.org:8090 [^]
P.S.: Thank you for your reply!
P.P.S.: Now I update the version every day. Last one installed was dev 1.69/9124
There seems to be some misconfiguration with the domainname (something that the request is routed to your Server but not using a local ip).
My test showed using the Domain/Server Name -> results in error
using the ip works

Hm. Thank you very much for your investigation!
This is a really strange bug. I'll try to research further
The more I dig in, the more strange it becomes.
For now, access through ip works from anywhere even if proxy filter is set to default value. I thought that setting ip filters will allow p2p operation, yet prohibit direct access to the search form and other human interfaces.
